A native of New York City, Steve Brill is the founder and President of The Lighting Design Group, established in 1989. Entering into the industry through NBC and The Cosby Show, his credits run the gamut from CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman to CNN’s yearly Heroes awards to dozens of presidential debates and conventions. Since 1992, Steve and LDG have been the designer of choice for NBC’s coverage of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. They have also been the team behind NBC’s now-distinctive transformation of Rockefeller Center into Democracy Plaza for Decision 2004, ’08, ’12, and ’16. With Steve it is a point of much satisfaction and honor that you can turn on any television, anywhere you are, at any time, and see LDG’s work. 30 years and 16 Emmy Awards later, the proud Ithaca College graduate can be found boating in those rare moments away from work.
