Dennis Size
Executive VP of Design
Dennis Size, the Executive Vice-President of Design, has been involved in television since he tap danced on the live ABC-TV broadcast of the David Blight Show at the age of 8.
In 2024 he is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first lighting design in college in 1974.
In over a ½ century working professionally he has designed hundreds upon hundreds of major projects for theatre and television for almost every broadcast network.
The recipient of more than a dozen Emmy nominations, Dennis has worked with well over 100 directors on innumerable broadcasts, designed the lighting for over a thousand episodes of daytime soap operas, and lit every U.S. President since Ronald Reagan, not to mention the broadcast coverage of three Royal weddings in London, and two Papal transitions in Vatican City.
Since lighting his first musical performances at the Savoy Bar in Scranton, PA (for “Cooney & his Country All Stars” and “Paul & his PA Polkateers”) he has gone on to light live television concert performances by dozens and dozens of legendary musical luminaries including Elton, Garth, Prince, McCartney, Usher, Britney, Beyonce, JLo, Mariah, Gaga, Miley, and Taylor.
After lighting his first talk show, “Time with Carol” — as an intern at PBS’ WVIA in 1976 — he went on to design over a dozen major celebrity talk shows including Oprah, Ellen, Montel, Martha, Dr. Oz, and most recently Tamron.
Dennis has just returned from lighting broadcast coverage of the 2024 Republican and Democratic National Presidential Conventions, a project he has completed for several networks over the years, more times than he can remember.
